I am a wife to my wonderful husband DJ, a dog-mom to my fur baby Chloe, & a lover of all things PINK! Yes, even my wedding was pink. I was born & raised for most of my life in the small town of Stoneville, NC with my parents & my two younger brothers. When I started high school, we moved less than an hour down the road to Summerfield to be closer to my new school in Greensboro. Even though I spent most of my summers growing up at the beaches of Oak Island, I made the surprising decision to attend college at Appalachian State University! I spent four amazing years as a mountaineer where I met my (now) husband and was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority where I later became president. During my time in Boone, I also worked as an assistant at a local salon which mainly focused on lash extensions. I met the salon owner/my boss through her being my own lash tech & I was always fascinated by her success, work ethic, & the way she made each of her clients feel before they left her salon. In May 2022, I graduated with two bachelors degrees in both Public Health and Spanish. During my last semester of college I was accepted into graduate school at UNC-Greensboro to get my Masters in Public Health but something just didn’t feel right to me - I didn’t feel a “spark“ or any true excitement about the next phase of my life. I knew something had to change. Once I graduated college & moved back to Summerfield, I started thinking about what I was passionate about & what I truly enjoyed … that’s when I began considering Esthetician school. It seemed so obvious since working at the salon throughout college was something I looked forward to everyday! The next week, I toured Dermacademy and a few days later, I was a full time Esthetics student. From the first day, I knew my “spark” had finally been lit & I had found my true passion. Fast-forward four months later, Carlie Rae Beauty was official & I can finally do what I love every day: making each of my clients SHINE!
